Happy Birthday Sis!

Thirty-nine years ago today, my little sister was born. She is two years younger than me and my only sibling. To be honest, when we were growing up, we did not get along. I didn't like her telling me what to do, and she didn't like me telling her what to do. I used to tell her, when I was especially angry with her, "If I could, I would divorce you!"

I'm not sure how it happened, she has turned into an amazing woman whom I am very proud to call my sister. She is one of the few people who really knows me inside and out and still loves me. For that, I am grateful.

Some tidbits about my sister:

*

:: She is an awesome wife and mother to four great kids.

*

:: She is a gadget fiend. There is not a kitchen gadget she does not have.

*

:: Her presents are gorgeously wrapped. When we put her presents under our tree, our presents looked very plain. Courtney took the tag to school to show her friends her handwriting. She does beautiful calligraphy.

*

:: She is very compassionate. She is frequently giving homemade bread to a neighbor, or taking a meal into a sick family, without being asked. I am impressed with her willingness to serve and lessen the burdens of others.

Happy Birthday, Ging! I hope you have a great day. And again, I apologize for slamming your finger in the door. I'm glad the fingernail grew back:) Love Ya!

Your sister sounds cool. I am really good friends with both my sisters now, too. It's hard to be friends when you're in the same house, right? By the way, please just stop by my house some evening. I am not very good at inviting people over. If not, we can set something up. I just wanted you to know I haven't forgotten.

A happy Birthday to your little sister AND a belated one to you too!

I love her boyfriend...you can even put him in a little box and send him away if he is bad. :)

I don't like to be cold, and I don't like to run, so I am very impressed with both your go getters!

I love Courtney's boyfriend! I want one, do they have a husband version! :) Scott would be a perfect listener if he would snore more quieter in the middle of it! :) Christmas looked too fun and I missed your fun lunch date! :( I was already out of town and sad when I got the message when I got home. Happy Birthday! and Happy New Year!

Sounds like you had the same relationship with your sister as I did growing up. Maturity is a wonderful thing! I don't know what I'd do without my sister now.
