Charlie The Snowman

Courtney, and her friend Michelle, took advantage of the snow and a snow day to create this snowman. They affectionately named him Charlie. I hope all her future boyfriends are like him. Melting away when they feel the heat from her parents!

For girls eyes only!

I've erased and written and erased again. What I had planned to write would most likely banish me from my family for a very long time. Lets just say I took an eleven year old girl (who may or may not live in this home) to buy a tiny piece of fabric with a stretchy band that goes across her upper chest area. It was time.

That is much different than the contraption that holds another person (who may or may not live here) that has birthed and nursed four children, in a somewhat upward position. It reminds me of a song that goes to the tune "Do Your Ears Hang Low?"but involves an entirely different (but appropriate) body part. It's like serving time.

Snowy Sunday

Today started with hubby driving around to see if church should be canceled. After nearly slamming into a barricade the decision was made. YEAH! My sweet daughters told Tom that I was a little too happy church was canceled. I wouldn't want this every Sunday, but it was a nice change. I really enjoyed having Tom home today. We all did.

Cameron was supposed to teach the Priest Quorum today so Tom thought it would be a good idea to teach us instead. (Four girls and Dad, yea I can see the similarities). Anyway, he did a great job. I kept getting dirty looks for snapping pictures during "church". Courts was assigned to give a talk, and ironically, our closing speaker was President Hinckley. We watched his talk from the Sunday morning session of the last conference.

The little girls bundled up and went outside to enjoy the snow. Cam and Court's shoveled some of the neighbors walks and driveways with their friends. Later on we ate good food with good company.

I was sad for a moment when I heard of Pres. Hinckley's death. He was a great man. He will be missed. His impact on the church was immeasurable. I can't be sad when I think of him being reunited with his sweet wife. I am grateful for that knowledge.

Off A Cliff

A few months ago I was introduced to the land of blogging. Ever since then, I have stalked and stalked. I found more and more people that I knew who had a blog. I began to feel pressure. Especially since I was getting so much out of these blogs. I knew it was time to jump in when in a weeks time several more friends and family jumped into the blogging bandwagon. Then I got to thinking about what my mom used to say to me.

"If all of your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?"........

PROBABLY!!!

Kidding. But it does seem like fun. To be honest, setting this up I got nervous. Who is this for? What do I want out of this? Will I embarrass my family? If not, I need to try harder. So here goes....
